POKE

Yesterday we were cooking a cook island dish named poke
the ingredient we use were bananas,pariopa starch ,sugar and coconut cream
first  you boil the banana. then they put the banana  in bowls and we made our own batch we added the starch and then the coconut cream. finally we add the sugar  and stir then we cook it . the enjoy

UMU EXPRIENCE

Umu experience 

Yesterday we had an Umu which was very exciting.
I am going to tell you all about it.

Our principal Mr Herlihy was crowned chief of the school. 

(Which he kinda already was.)

After the crowning the teachers had to drink from a coconut
that was used as a cup for the drink.
While the teachers said what they wanted to say
which was just some thank yous and all. 

While the teachers were doing that the guests
were preparing the Umu and were cooking the pig in the umu 
when the talking was finished I

 ate the food which was scrumptious. 

Some of us didn't want to eat so Mr Raj let us go in class
and have free time.
While they were inside I was talking to my friends. And reading
